An Autumn maternity photoshoot in Essex full of golden light

There’s something truly beautiful about maternity sessions in Autumn. The evenings are cooler, the light is softer, and nature begins its transformation into rich, golden tones. This maternity session in Essex was no exception.

I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful first-time mum who chose to celebrate her pregnancy with a mixture of meadow and woodland locations. We started in a wide-open meadow, where the grasses were long and glowing in the early evening sun. The tall meadow grass created a dreamy, ethereal feel – perfect for showcasing the flowing dresses she hired from Bump Drops.

From meadows to ferns
